Product Overview
Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate is a substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitor. It is activated in acidic compartments and irreversibly binds to and inhibits the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase pump on gastric parietal cells. It shows greater selectivity for gastric over non-gastric H⁺/K⁺-ATPase compared to older PPIs.
