Product Overview

Omeprazole is a benzimidazole proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that covalently binds to and inactivates the gastric H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme, reducing gastric acid secretion. It is used for GERD, peptic ulcer disease, and Helicobacter pylori eradication. Supplied as the racemic mixture (unlike esomeprazole which is the S-enantiomer).
