Product Overview
Fluconazole is a triazole antifungal agent that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis by blocking the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase. It has excellent oral bioavailability (>90%) and is effective against Candida and Cryptococcus species. Used in oral and intravenous formulations.

- Oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis
- Vulvovaginal candidiasis (150 mg single dose)
- Cryptococcal meningitis treatment and prophylaxis
- Systemic candida infections (IV)
